Résumé

Nous articulerons ici la notion de « subduction mentale morbide » – proposée par M. Mignard en 1924 – à la psychose, et plus spécifiquement aux phénomènes d’« automatisme mental ». M. Mignard s’est opposé aux termes d’« automatisme » (mental, psychologique) et de « dissociation mentale », qu’il a proposé de regrouper sous ce syntagme de « subduction mentale morbide » qui selon lui est le processus fondamental de toute psychose. Cette notion correspond plus ou moins au « syndrome d’action extérieure » de H. Claude, mais compris et interprété autrement. E. Minkowski se réfèrera à la subduction mentale morbide notamment pour rendre compte des pathologies liées au temps et à l’espace vécus. Quant à J. Lacan, après s’être référé dans les premiers temps à la conception de Mignard, on verra que la notion de subduction sera progressivement intégrée à la structure de langage. Les trois registres du Réel, du Symbolique et de l’Imaginaire permettront de rendre compte, dans la psychose, d’une « subduction du réel ».

Abstract

We will articulate here the notion of “morbid mental subduction” – proposed by M. Mignard in 1924 – to psychosis, and more specifically to the phenomena of “mental automatism”. Mr. Mignard opposed the terms of “automatism” (mental, psychological) and “mental dissociation”, which he proposed to group under this term of “morbid mental subduction”, which in his view is the fundamental process of any psychosis. This concept corresponds more or less to H. Claude’s “external action syndrome”, but understood and interpreted differently. E. Minkowski will refer to the morbide mental subduction in particular to account for pathologies related to time and space lived. As for J. Lacan, after referring in the first times to the conception of Mignard, we will see that the notion of subduction will gradually be integrated into the language structure. The three registers of Real, Symbolic and Imaginary will make it possible to account for a “subduction of the real” in psychosis.
