Quelle valeur scientifique faut-il accorder aux exposés cliniques ?

Résumé

La théorie psychanalytique s’est appuyée sur des exposés de cas cliniques, à commencer par ceux de Freud. Cependant, l’expérience est éminemment subjective, comment peut-elle prétendre à l’objectivité ? Les associations de pensées des patients justifient toujours après coup n’importe quel événement traumatique et la découverte de cette causalité, bien qu’elle soit souvent soulageante, ne prouve rien. Son effet bénéfique résulte seulement d’une subjectivation, semblable à celle dont les miracles religieux (ou certaines psychothérapies) peuvent se prévaloir. De plus, les analystes eux-mêmes peuvent trouver argument de ces succès pour prouver le bien-fondé de leurs points de vue. On montre qu’il existe cependant des critères d’objectivité d’une observation subjective, outre qu’elle légitime ses conditions d’effectuation, c’est-à-dire le discours psychanalytique.

Abstract

The psychoanalytic theory has grown up thanks to the clinic cases, mainly those of Freud. Meanwhile, this experience is a very subjective one. On tins basis, how can one pretend to any kind of objectivity? The analysand’s thinking associations are always finding Nachträglich some kind of reason to any traumatic event of their life. The analysands are feeling often time much better when they find this causality, they have build up themselves. But what does it proof? This good effect is the result of a subjectivation process, of the same brand thant the religions Miracles (and of some kind of psychotherapy). Moreover, the analysts themselves can argue of those sucesses to proof their point of view. This article is showing that does exist criterium of objectivity of a subjective experience, like the one of the analysis cure. It’s as well a legitimation of his way to obtain them, that is to say the psychoanalytic discourse.
