Résumé

La psychothérapie institutionnelle a désigné, dans les années 60-70 du XX^e siècle un mouvement dans lequel les malades et les soignants constituent un collectif qui instaure une vie commune dans la structure d’accueil de l’hôpital psychiatrique pour instaurer un humanisme qui rejette toute vie concentrationnaire. Cette vie commune est fondée sur l’appartenance au groupe dans laquelle l’individu compte pour lui-même et participe au cadre institutionnel. C’est ce cadre qui est considéré comme malade à soigner. Ce mouvement est fondé par le Dr François Tosquelles à l’hôpital de Saint Alban. Dans ce texte on s’intéressera principalement à son application dans les communautés d’enfants.

Abstract

Institutional psychotherapy designated, in the 60s and 70s of the twentieth century a movement in which patients and caregivers constitute a collective which establishes a common life in the reception structure of the psychiatric hospital to establish a humanism which rejects all concentration camp life. This common life is based on belonging to the group in which the individual counts for himself and participates in the institutional framework. It is this framework that is considered sick to be treated. This movement is founded by Dr François Tosquelles at Saint Alban Hospital. In this text we will mainly focus on its application in children’s communities.
