Le Président Schreber face à l’énigme de l’éviration

Résumé

Cet article précise les facteurs structuraux déterminant qui ont provoqué la décompensation du Président Schreber. Quels sont les repères apportés par la clinique et la théorie psychanalytiques à partir des apports de Freud et de Lacan ? Freud à partir de ses Remarques psychanalytiques sur l’autobiographie d’un cas de paranoïa pose la question de l’homosexualité et la grammaire de l’érotomanie et dans la psychose, avec Totem et Tabou la question de l’inscription de la Loi symbolique à partir du meurtre du père de la Horde primitive : « Il n’y a de père que de père mort ». Pour Lacan, à partir de la théorie du signifiant et de RSI, se pose la question de la Non-inscription du Nom-du-Père, avec chez Schreber le langage d’organe qui participe à son sentiment de se transformer en femme en même temps qu’il construit sa métaphore délirante. Quel statut peut-on donner à l’écriture du livre de Schreber qui a instruit lui-même son procès participant lui-même à sa propre expertise en tant que spécialiste du Droit.

Abstract

This article discusses the determining structural factors that provoked President Schreber’s decompensation. What light can Freud and Lacan’s psychoanalytical clinical experience and theory shed on them? In his Psychoanalytic Notes on an Autobiographical Account of a Case of ¨Paranoia Freud brings up the question of homosexuality and the grammar of erotomania in psychosis; in Totem and Taboo the question of the inscription of symbolic Law after the murder of the father of the primitive horde : “The only father is a dead father”. For Lacan, the theory of the signifier and the RSI raise the question of the non-inscription of the Name of the Father, while for Schreber the organ language involved in his impression of being transformed into a woman at the same time he is constructing his delusional metaphor. How should one see the writing of Schreber, who conducted his own trial, taking part in his own psychological evaluation as a legal specialist.
