Résumé

Partant de constats de terrain, l’objet de cet article sera de questionner le rapport entre les élèves non-francophones nouvellement arrivés, notamment les enfants en situation de demande d’asile et l’École française. À travers le prisme du poste d’enseignant interface Éducation nationale/France terre d’asile, cet écrit, après avoir fait un rappel institutionnel sur la scolarisation des élèves allophones nouvellement arrivés (EANA), s’intéressera à la spécificité des profils d’élèves hébergés au foyer France terre d’asile et les problématiques inhérentes à leur scolarisation, tant d’un point de vue organisationnel que psycho-social. Il questionnera également l’articulation entre le sujet en tant qu’individu et sa place au sein du groupe alors que celui-ci est sur le chemin de sa « reconstruction ». Pour finir, l’article présentera deux profils d’élèves rencontrés et les questionnements engendrés par la particularité de leur profil.

Abstract

Based on observations, the purpose of this article is to question the relationship between newly arrived non-French speaking pupils, particularly refugee children, and the French school. It is based on the experience of a teacher whose role is to act as a link between the school where these pupils attend and their refugee centre managed by the NGO “France terre d’asile”, where they live. After recalling the institutional procedures for the schooling of newly arrived allophone pupils (EANA), this text will focus on the specific profiles of pupils accommodated in the “France terre d’asile” centre and the problems inherent in their schooling, both from an organisational and psycho-social point of view. It will also question the articulation between the subject as an individual and his place within the group while the subject is on the way to its “reconstruction”. Finally, the author will present two profiles of pupils encountered and the questions raised by the particularity of their profile.
